It’s been a long, hot summer—one likely filled with lounging in the park, lazing at the beach or cuddled up on the couch in your Dalian on the Park apartment chilling out with a good book. Even if you’re years past the classroom, it can be easy to let your brain go on a bit of a summer vacation when the warm weather creeps in. However, the fall is quickly settling back in Philly, which makes it the perfect time to reenergize your mind and gear up for the months ahead. That’s easy to do here in Philadelphia, which is home to some of the region’s biggest and best museums, research libraries and educational institutions, which provide countless opportunities to sharpen your focus and learn something new (all while having some fun!)
One of the standout spots near your Dalian on the Park apartment is the National Museum of American Jewish History. The Old City venue features a core exhibition spanning three-and-a-half floors that highlights the rich history of the Jewish communities in America, dating all the way back to the 1600s. Using rare artifacts, immersive video experiences and more, the exhibit helps bring to life the men and women, along with the events, that contributed to the fabric of the country. It also has rotating special exhibits, which include the current look into the life of Jewish immigrant Sara Berman, as well as the upcoming retrospective on the life and work of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
While the exhibits alone offer plenty to learn, the National Museum of American Jewish History also hosts a full roster of public events, including networking socials and history lectures. And all of this educational excitement is just two mile from your Dalian on the Park apartment!
