Where to Check Out Parks on Tap
Picture of Where to Check Out Parks on Tap

Philly’s favorite traveling beer garden is back and better than ever—with lots of locations near your Dalian on the Park apartment!

Parks on Tap made its 2019 debut last month, and it will travel to dozens of Philly parks between now and September, bringing with it craft beer, gourmet food, games, live music and endless opportunities to soak up the sun alongside friends, old and new. There are plenty of comfy lounge chairs and hammocks, or you can bring along a blanket to curl up in the grass with your favorite brew and crew. The series is designed to introduce Philly residents and visitors to the city’s impressive network of public parks, with a portion of all proceeds from each event directly supporting that week’s park.

If you haven’t been to Parks on Tap before, don’t miss the chance to see what the buzz is all about! Here are just a few of the local stops on this year’s tour:

Matthias Baldwin (6/26-6/30): Stroll over to Matthias Baldwin, just two blocks from your Dalian on the Park apartment, for lots of fun just steps from home. While Parks on Tap gives you ample opportunities to see different parks across the city, if you want the experience without barely any travel, this is the park for you!

Discovery Center (7/17-7/21): Two miles from your Dalian on the Park apartment, the Discovery Center is one of four new additions to the 2019 Parks on Tap lineup. The newly opened nature, education and community center will blend all three for its POT debut, with lots of chances for little ones to enjoy the play equipment and for all guests to learn about nature preservation and even do some bird-watching—all while enjoying the food, drinks and excitement of Parks on Tap.

Fairmount Water Works (7/24-7/28): Don’t miss some of the best views in the city at Fairmount Water Works, one mile from your Dalian on the Park apartment. Situated overlooking the Schuylkill River, this is a perfect venue to escape the mid-summer heat, with its riverfront breezes—not to mention the sensational selfie potential in front of the historic and architectural marvel!
