Spring is in bloom a bit early in Philadelphia!
Don’t miss your chance to be one of the more than 250,000 visitors who stroll through the stunning sights of the Philadelphia Flower Show. The annual horticultural extravaganza takes place March 11-19 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch St., just one mile from your Dalian on the Park apartment.
The show is one the most renowned floral displays around the globe — and this year has an international theme, with a focus on Holland. Dutch culture will be woven throughout the event, from windmill-shaped floral designs to samples of cheeses common in the Netherlands. Holland’s top horticulturalists will join dozens throughout our region who will showcase their plants and flowers in breathtaking (and award-winning!) designs.
Throughout the show, visitors can take in demonstrations, discussions and more to add to their experience. And to get guests even more psyched for spring, the Philadelphia Flower Show also offers Butterflies Live!, an immersive, interactive space in which visitors can feed nectar to (and of course, take selfies with) more than 1,000 butterflies.
When visitors want a break from the convention floor, they can peruse the Fine Wine & Good Spirits tasting tables, featuring samples of more than 100 wines and spirits, many of which are for sale in full bottles on site. There are also ample opportunities to take plants and other goodies home, with nearly 200 vendors, artisans and other exhibitors set up throughout the convention.
Special opening and closing events, tours and more are held throughout the week, so make sure to check the show’s website before you plan your trip!
