New Brewpub Barrels into Our Neighborhood

Say hello to the new kid on the block, Roy-Pitz Barrel House!

The brewpub recently opened its doors on Spring Garden Street, just one mile from your Dalian on the Park apartment. The brewpub is the brainchild of Roy-Pitz Brewing Company, which prides itself on the “liquid art” it creates in every bottle.

The Central Pennsylvania brewery artfully combines the barley and hops with natural, raw ingredients to come up with handcrafted beers that are unique and singularly satisfying. The Spring Garden venue is the only Roy-Pitz brewpub outside of the company’s Chambersburg headquarters.

The local shop focuses on barrel-aged and sour beers, along with other Roy-Pitz staples. There are currently 17 beers on drafts, sure to satisfy any beer drinker’s taste. The alcohol content ranges from the 4% Berlina Blue all the way up to the 13% Bourbon Barrel Aged Capt’n Bill’s Barleywine. You can find pale ales, dark ales, fruit beers, pilsners and more.

Even the non-beer crowd can quench their thirst at Roy-Pitz. The bar serves a selection of wines and cocktails, including a Mojito, Old Fashion and Moscow Mule.

The spot is not just for drinking; Roy-Pitz offers a menu of upscale pub fare. As you savor your drink, you can dive into BBQ Pulled-Chicken Egg Rolls, Shrimp Ceviche, an assortment of soups and salads, Mojo Pork Panini or the Prosciutto Panini, among other dishes.

Just as it focuses on the design of its flavors and presentation, Roy-Pitz brings an artful eye to its new venue. Housed in a former warehouse, the bar retained the industrial feel of the space, using the former truck docks as windows and sticking with an open-concept design.

Whether you’re looking for a new favorite brew or just want to find a new after-work hot spot, Roy-Pitz Barrel House is definitely worth a visit.
